Create a new basic question
- In the design view, click the "Add new element"-button, and select the element you want to insert
- Question types - select from the predefined menu of questions
- Other - Info element or Goto-element
- "Add new element" - green button
Single or multiple choice question
If selected a question type (in this case a single choice question), you can specify the following:
- Question name = label.
- Best practice to give this a friendly name immediately as this will follow through the platform.
- Needs to be one word - including only characters a-z and numbers 0-9

- Enter question text
- Enter Categories
- Click add row if you need another row to your question at the end
- Clicking on the dropdown menu in a selected row will give you some new options, e.g. the ability to add an open row in the question
- Change question type, e.g. from single choice to multiple choice
- Select iQuest options (interactive question visualization) from drop down menu, e.g. button representation instead of radio buttons
- Clicking on the question in the overview to the left will update for a better understanding:
- Question label
- Question text
Grid question
- When "Add a new element" choose either single grid question or multiple grid question. A 2 x 2 rows/columns template will appear
- Follow the description for a single question adding more rows and columns to the question as shown below.
Numeric question
If you want to record numbers in a questionnaire, you can specify a numeric question when selecting "Add new element".
Specify question text and row text in the same way as the other question types.
Open ended question
You can also collect open ended questions, e.g. comments, verbatims and other unstructured information. This is collected in a open text question.
Specify "Open-ended question" when adding a new element. Else, specify the same as with the other question types:
- Label (question ID)
- Question text
- Row text
You may also specify the size of the open text box by specifying:
- Width (Number of characters)
- Number of lines
