Copy a project from Q_survey to Research Studio

The process of accessing the existing projects in Survey Design (Q_Survey) will until further need to be done via a manual export - import process. To accomplish this, you will need to do the following steps: 

  1. In Survey Design open your current project
    1. Open the data set tab
    2. Select the dataset you want to export
    3. Select Export to "Q_Survey"
    4. The dataset will now be exported
    5. Go to the start page, select the "Task tab"
    6. Refresh the list (the icon top left)
    7. The export task will now appear. Click the link and save the file to your downloads or desktop folder on your PC
  2. In Research Studio, create a project (or open an existing project where you want your dataset to appear
    1. In the project, select Import
    2. Specify the .miprox file, give it a name and import
    3. From the project page you will now see the imported project. You can now do either:
      1. Analyse the dataset in Research Studio - simply by clicking the data set
      2. Create a new questionnaire based on that data set. 
    4. Click "Add" then "Survey" and "from dataset".
      1. Give the new questionnaire a name
      2. Select the project and dataset you want to use as a source for your questionnaire
      3. Update the browser window, and the questionnaire template is there.
      4. To edit, simply click the new questionnaire script
  3. The following will be converted to the new platform as it is:
    1. The structure of the questionnaire
    2. All filters and answer controls
    3. All labels and question texts
  4. Because of the new structure (and possibilities), some must be re-formatted
    1. Select the template for the questionnaire (Theme)
      1. Go to "Themes" and select the Theme you want to use
    2. Select the new logo
      1. Go to "Display settings" and specify a logo
      2. Update
      3. If you have used iQuests (Interactivity like buttons, sliders, scrolling grid etc), you will need to define these in the new system.
        1. Select the question, then select "Visualisation" to the right - select button
        2. If you want to specify moe, select the "settings wheel" to the right of the drop down
